This particular unit is built to GB 20052-2024 Tier 3 energy efficiency. We also manufacture the same model to Tier 1 (the highest efficiency grade under GB 20052-2024), which exceeds the requirements of Commission Regulation (EU) No 548/2014 and Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1783 of 1 October 2019 — so the same core platform can be specified for projects that require EU-compliant efficiency documentation.
How Our 8000 kVA Dry-Type Transformers Are Made
Every core starts with cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel, cut to size and precision-stacked by hand at our Chengdu factory to keep no-load losses and noise within spec.




The clamped core is then fitted into the pre-cast high- and low-voltage windings — this is also the stage where we switch between copper and aluminum conductor depending on the order. As a factory, we produce both: copper winding for maximum efficiency and compact size, and aluminum winding as a lower-cost alternative for budget-sensitive projects that can accept a larger footprint for the same rating.

Applicable Standards & Testing
Every 8000 kVA dry-type transformer manufactured by Zhongxin General undergoes a full routine test programme before dispatch. No unit is dispatched without a complete test report.
Routine tests (every unit): winding resistance measurement; voltage ratio and vector group verification (Yd11); no-load loss and no-load current; load loss and short-circuit impedance; induced overvoltage withstand test; separate-source AC withstand test; partial discharge measurement.
Type tests (reports available on request): temperature rise test (verifying the 125 K rise under H-class insulation); lightning impulse test (to the LI170AC70/LI75AC35 insulation level).
Special tests (available on request): sound level (noise) measurement; short-circuit withstand test.
All tests are conducted to IEC 60076-11, GB1094.1,2-2013, GB1094.3-2017 and GB/T 10228-2023. Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) with client witness is supported. Test reports and ITP documentation are provided as standard with every order.
