Sichuan Zhongxin General Electric Energy Co., Ltd. designs and builds power transmission and distribution equipment — oil-immersed and cast resin dry-type transformers, HV/MV/LV switchgear, prefabricated cabin and compact substations, and energy storage systems.
Zhongxin General was founded in 2017 in Xinjin District, Chengdu, by a group of engineers and managers with long careers in the Chinese power equipment industry. Our plant in Tianfu Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park runs automated winding, core cutting and assembly lines with an annual capacity of 3,000,000 kVA.
The company was originally registered as Sichuan Zhongxin General Electric Power Co., Ltd. and adopted its current name in May 2024.

Data centres. We have supplied a substantial fleet of 6,300 kVA oil-immersed power transformers to large-scale data centre operators. These units run continuously at high load factor, and their service record is the reference we point to most often when a customer asks about long-term thermal and dielectric stability.
Hospitals and public facilities. We have delivered complete distribution and power supply solutions for major government public hospitals, where redundancy, low noise and uninterrupted operation are non-negotiable.
Heavy industry. For major industrial projects we have supplied 110 kV, 120 kV and 35 kV class main transformers together with the matching switchgear line-ups.
Aktau Port, Kazakhstan. A custom-engineered, oversized prefabricated cabin substation, designed around the port’s layout and climate conditions and shipped as a complete factory-tested unit.
Chino hydropower station, Nepal. Two main transformers and the associated switchgear assemblies.
Domestically, we are a qualified supplier to State Grid Corporation of China and China Southern Power Grid, and we work with major Chinese developers and industrial groups. Our equipment is exported to Central Asia, Europe and the Americas.

Our R&D team operates a corporate technology centre and an academician workstation, and maintains joint laboratories with Chinese electrical engineering universities. To date this work has produced 28 national invention patents and 32 utility model patents, alongside type-test certification across our product lines.
Zhongxin General has obtained certification under ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management).The company is recognised as a Sichuan High-Tech Enterprise, a Specialized and Innovative SME, a National-level “Little Giant” Enterprise, and a Technological Innovation Seed Enterprise. We are also designated an Industry-Education Integration Internship Base and a Sichuan Province Carbon Neutrality Achievement Transformation Base.
At the end of 2024 we established Sichuan Boruian New Energy Co., Ltd., a joint venture with Jiangsu Anzhifu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., to build a dedicated energy storage business alongside our transformer and switchgear operations. Several storage projects have already been delivered under the Boruian name.
Boruian’s first production base broke ground in late 2025, in the same industrial park as our transformer plant. Construction was substantially completed at the end of September 2026, and the facility enters formal operation at the end of 2026.
The logic is straightforward: storage, distribution transformers and switchgear increasingly arrive on site as one package, and a customer specifying all three should be able to source them from one engineering team.
Our mission is to manufacture premium power equipment and support the transition to green energy. In practice that comes down to three commitments: we build to the standard the application actually requires rather than the minimum the specification allows; we treat the operator who lives with the equipment for thirty years as our real customer, not only the buyer who signs the purchase order; and we stay reachable after the equipment ships.
