On July 22, 2026, Zhongxin General completed manufacturing and dispatch of the full power equipment package for the Ningnan Photovoltaic Project, located in Ningnan County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Ningnan sits in one of southwest China’s best solar resource zones, with stable year-round irradiation, a high proportion of direct radiation, and favorable geological conditions — making it an ideal site for utility-scale photovoltaic power generation.
The project scope included 3 sets of high-voltage switchgear, 1 prefabricated cabin, and 3 SCB14-2000kVA box-type substations, each built around our self-manufactured SCB14-2000/10GY dry-type transformers.

Every unit we ship carries a full nameplate record for traceability. The SCB14-2000/10GY transformers used in this project meet China’s GB 20052-2024 Grade 2 energy-efficiency standard. Grade 1 (higher-efficiency) versions are also available on request — both exceed the requirements of EU Commission Regulation No 548/2014 and Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1783.

Manufacturing and Quality Control
Inside the workshop, our technicians hand-fit and trim insulation matting for each panel of the prefabricated cabin, ensuring a precise seal around every joint and opening.

Once assembly was complete, the cabin went through a full final inspection — checking electrical connections, sealing, and structural integrity — before the doors were closed for shipment.

Each box-type substation was assembled around a dedicated dry-type transformer compartment. Close inspection of the transformer housing confirms consistent winding insulation and finish quality across all three units.

Final Testing
Before any unit leaves our factory, our electrical engineers carry out a full functional test of the switchgear from the low-voltage compartment, verifying protection settings, wiring continuity, and load response.

A closer look at the switchgear panels shows the compact layout designed for reliable indoor operation in a modular substation footprint.

Dispatch
With testing complete, all three box-type substations were wrapped and strapped for transport, protecting external fittings and paintwork during the journey to site.

Each unit was lifted by crane and carefully positioned onto the truck bed.


The prefabricated cabin followed the same process — loaded, checked, and secured for the road.

With loading and strapping finished, both the cabin and the three substations were staged at our factory gate on July 22, 2026, ready for departure to the Ningnan site.

Project Background
The Ningnan PV project follows an operating model very similar to our earlier Shifang Cigarette Factory distributed PV project, where our equipment supported a comparable grid-connected solar installation. In this project, the customer independently supplied the PV modules, combiner boxes, and inverters, while Zhongxin General was responsible for the dry-type transformers, the prefabricated substation module, switchgear, and the final grid-connection equipment, tying the plant into the 10kV national grid.
As an energy-saving, emission-reduction project, the Ningnan solar plant generates electricity without producing industrial exhaust gas, wastewater, or dust — supporting Sichuan’s continued commitment to ecological priority and green development.
