With China’s National Day holiday about to begin, the team at ZHONGXIN GENERAL’s Chengdu manufacturing facility worked through the night to load and dispatch a batch of prefabricated cabin substations and 35 kV oil-immersed transformers — making sure every completed unit was on its way to the customer before the holiday break.
Under floodlights, mobile cranes lifted the cabin-and-transformer sets onto long-haul flatbeds while rigging crews guided, aligned and secured each unit; by the early hours the trailers were ready to depart. Every set is fully assembled and routine-tested before it leaves the factory: the substation cabin, with its medium-voltage switchgear integrated inside, and the main 35 kV / 2,500 kVA-class oil-immersed transformer travel together as a matched package for fast on-site installation.
This is standard practice at ZHONGXIN rather than an exception. Design, manufacturing and factory testing all take place under one roof, which is what allows the company to protect customer schedules even in the final days before a major holiday — and why customers can verify exactly where and how their equipment is built.
After the Holiday: 5250 kVA Transformers Enter Their Cabins, Then Ship in Batches
The next program is already lined up. Shortly after operations resume, the first twenty 5,250 kVA cast-resin dry-type transformers — 37 kV / 690 V, the first batch of a 40-unit order for a large battery energy storage station — will be progressively installed into their prefabricated cabin bays together with medium-voltage switchgear. Each integrated package is released for dispatch in batches as final checks are passed, and production of the remaining twenty units will continue in stages according to project progress.
The 5,250 kVA rating is a custom, non-standard specification that does not appear on the national standard capacity table. ZHONGXIN’s engineers designed the winding molds and core dimensions in house, built the units with copper-foil windings and vacuum-cast epoxy, and put every unit through the full factory test routine — concrete evidence of the custom-engineering and manufacturing capacity behind both orders.
