Project Overview

A Custom Livery Built Around the Client’s Brand Identity

In response to Chongqing Taisheng Paper’s Natural Gas-Fired Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Cogeneration project-specific requirements, Zhongxin General’s engineering team developed a dedicated exterior customization scheme for this order. The result is a highly recognizable panda-themed livery, rendered in a clean, high-contrast black-and-white color scheme that is both visually striking and understated.

The cabin exteriors were finished with a weather-resistant, anti-corrosion industrial topcoat, selected to deliver long-term protection for continuous outdoor operation without compromising on aesthetics. The finished units demonstrate how industrial equipment and distinctive visual design can be integrated into a single deliverable — fully satisfying the client’s customized appearance requirements from concept to completion.

Design Features

The project adopts a prefabricated cabin-type substation construction model in place of a conventional civil-works distribution room, built as a two-tier structure. The lower level of the cabin houses the 10kV generator outlet switchgear, while the upper level accommodates the gas turbine MCC (motor control center) cabinet and the gas turbine DC distribution cabinet.

Advantages

  • Modular, function-zoned integration: The cabin is organized around primary and secondary equipment as core functional zones, enabling a standardized, modular design with unified interfaces that supports factory prefabrication and streamlined on-site integration.
  • Comprehensive environmental protection: The cabin is fully sealed and equipped with fire-resistant, thermal-insulating, heat-insulating, and waterproof construction, complemented by industrial air conditioning, a fire alarm system, and an intelligent monitoring system.
  • Compact footprint: The prefabricated substation has a compact layout — the lower-level cabin measures 15.6m (L) × 3.6m (W), the upper-level cabin measures 7.8m (L) × 3.6m (W), with a total height of 7m.
  • Overall performance: The finished product is safe and reliable, occupies minimal land area, has a short construction cycle, features an attractive appearance, offers a long service life, and operates with no radiation, low noise, and flexible site placement.
  • Landscape-integrated exterior: The entire station is finished with a landscape-style decorative scheme inspired by Ba-Shu (Sichuan-Chongqing) regional culture — a giant panda and green bamboo painted motif — achieving a harmonious blend of the equipment with the natural, cultural, and regional surroundings.

Equipment nameplates on each switchgear unit were cross-checked to confirm that rated parameters matched the client’s technical specification, ensuring full compliance before the equipment left the factory.

With internal systems debugged and confirmed, rodent-proof baffle plates were installed at cable entry points, an additional safeguard for long-term reliability once the cabin is placed in service.

Final Quality Checks Before Dispatch

Ahead of dispatch, the team carried out a final exterior wipe-down of each cabin and inspected door seals for any gaps, addressing any imperfections before the units were signed off.

Lifting and Loading Operations

The loading phase began with a crane beam positioned above the cabin and lifting straps secured to its base, preparing the unit for hoisting.

Securing the Cargo and Departure

With loading complete, the trucks moved to the open area in front of the company premises, where the cabins were fully secured for the road.
